Dr. Bradley is a primary care sport medicine physician. She completed a Bachelor of Health Sciences at McMaster University and finished medical school and a residency program in Family Medicine at the University of Ottawa. She completed fellowship training in Sport and Exercise Medicine and received the CASEM diploma in Sport Medicine. She is the team physician for the National Women’s and Men’s Goalball teams, the Carleton University Varsity Women’s Rugby and Basketball teams and is on the medical staff for the Ottawa 67s and Ottawa Redblacks.
Dr. Bradley has covered many local, provincial, national and international sporting competitions including the Paralympics in 2018 and Para PanAm Games in 2019 and has travelled with Hockey Canada, Rugby Canada and Canada Soccer. She is currently the OUA representative on the USPORTS Sport Medicine and Research Science Committee as well as the Past Chair of the Ontario Medical Association’s Section on Sport and Exercise Medicine. She is chair of the Para and Adaptive Physical Activity committee at the Canadian Academy of Sport and Exercise Medicine (CASEM).
Dr. Bradley is interested in teaching and research and is involved in both of these endeavours as an assistant professor with the University of Ottawa Department of Family Medicine and adjunct professor with the Health Sciences Department at Carleton University. She is the Program Director for the Sport and Exercise Medicine Fellowship at the University of Ottawa. Dr. Bradley has a particular interest in the mental health of athletes at the varsity and National level and was part of the expert group that created the Mental Health Strategy for High Performance Sport in Canada.
Dr. Bradley encourages physical activity in her patients of all abilities and models this by continuing to participate in local sports including basketball, volleyball, Ultimate Frisbee and numerous other outdoor activities.
