Dr. Petit completed his doctorate of Medicine in the Francophone stream at the University of Ottawa in 2017. He then completed his residency in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation at the University of Ottawa 2022, where he was Chief Resident in 2020-21. He followed his residency with a 6-month fellowship in interventional MSK ultrasound in Ottawa. Dr. Petit also obtained his electromyography (EMG) diploma from the Canadian Society of Clinical Neurophysiologists (CSCN), and his Diploma in Sport Medicine from the Canadian Academy of Sport & Exercise Medicine (CASEM).

 

Currently, Dr. Petit is the Head Team Physician for the Women’s Varsity Soccer team at Carleton University, where he also has an outpatient Sports Medicine practice. In addition, he is an inpatient Physiatry consultant with an outpatient EMG practice at the Montfort Hospital, and also works in the Complex Musculoskeletal clinic at the Ottawa Hospital Rehabilitation Centre. He is a lecturer at the University of Ottawa Faculty of Medicine and regularly teaches medical students and residents during his clinical practice.
