Dan Clements has been working as a physiotherapist in the south end of Ottawa since 2002. He graduated with honours from the Dalhousie University Kinesiology program in 1999 with interests in biomechanics, fitness testing, exercise testing and prescription. After graduating with honours from Queens University’s Physiotherapy program he relocated to Ottawa and began working in orthopaedics and sports injuries.
Dan has completed his level three manual therapy courses and plans on continuing this path to become a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Therapists (FCAMT). He is a member in good standing with College of Physiotherapists of Ontario and is a member of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association.
Dan enjoys opportunities where he can combine his interests in manual therapy, biomechanics and sports. He has provided a number of educational sessions designed to educate volleyball coaches and parents of players on the prevention of overuse injuries. For these reasons he enjoys working with athletes and injuries involving the shoulder and spine. He also has a special interest in the treatment of the temporal mandibular joint (TMJ).
Outside of the physiotherapy clinic you may catch up with Dan either at the bottom of the St. Lawrence River scuba diving, scaling a rock wall or working on his volkswagen dune buggy.
