Counselling services are reimbursable by most third-party health care benefits companies. If you are a student, your health insurance plan provides some coverage for psychological services. Check your CUSA health plan for more details. If you are not a student, check with your employee or third-party provider’s policy to verify insurance coverage. You might need a referral from your doctor for “counselling and/or psychological services”. You will need to submit the doctor’s referral and the official receipt as part of your claim to your insurance company. Counselling and psychological services are not covered by Provincial Health Care/ OHIP. A few spots are reserved for clients with financial strains, for whom a sliding scale will be offered.
