Chris Sliwka graduated from the University of Ottawa with a degree in Human Kinetics in 2002 and received his Masters of Physical Therapy from the University of Western Ontario in 2004.
Chris has worked in Ottawa in an orthopaedic setting for his entire career. He has experience treating individuals of all ages dealing with acute, chronic, post-surgical, sports, overuse, and age-related issues. He has completed post graduate courses in manual therapy and has training in GunnIMS (intramuscular stimulation), acupuncture, running injury prevention, K-Taping, and concussion treatment and management.
Chris has a special interest in treating shoulder injuries and dysfunction, post-surgical joint replacements, and running injuries.
Outside of physiotherapy, Chris is an avid triathlete and he is a member of a local race team. In addition to short course races he has completed 2 Ironman distance and multiple Ironman 70.3 races.
