Carmelle Mongeon has obtained a Master’s degree in Physiotherapy from the University of Ottawa (2016). In addition, she completed a Bachelor’s degree in Human Kinetics with a minor in Psychology at the University of Ottawa in 2014.
Carmelle has been working at the Sports Therapy Clinic since January of 2017, and has completed post-graduate courses including K-taping and running injury prevention. Furthermore, she has acquired a vast array of clinical experience throughout the completion of her degree, where she had the opportunity to work in various environments including orthopaedics, neurology, paediatrics, geriatrics, and acute care. She plans on continuing her education throughout her career via additional courses, beginning in the near future.
In addition to her academic experience, Carmelle has over 10 years experience teaching martial arts, and has volunteered as a swimming instructor for children with special needs. She has also worked with various sports teams and organizations including the University of Ottawa women’s varsity hockey team, Tae E Lee Taekwondo, and Rugby Ontario.=
Outside of Physiotherapy, Carmelle enjoys practicing several styles of martial arts, and has been doing so for over 20 years. When time permits, she also loves working at various sporting events, pursuing her passion for fitness, and spending time with her loved ones.
